About the event

The House That Lou Built is a story by Mae Respicio about a girl and her mom figuring out how to navigate life after they lose her dad. The focus is on moving forward and honoring the past without getting so lost in memories that you can't enjoy the present. This workshop will include projects and discussions about sustainable housing, budgeting, interior design, and taxes.

Wishtree's Lexile level is 660L, and it is a coming of age book, so there are some elements (such as the main character and her friends traveling around town on their own and discussing family traditions) that may need some extra parental conversations if a very young reader is participating.

The Workshop meets virtually for 45 minutes on Tuesdays and Thursdays, from 1:00-1:45 (Pacific Time).

Small groups must have a minimum of 3 students to run. Submitting this form holds a spot for your student, but does not automatically bill you. Please note that this is an interest form ONLY! An interest form must be submitted for each student, and a staff member will follow up with you afterward. Students are not enrolled in a course until payment or a voucher/PO is recieved. For more information, please refer to the funding section of the Student and Family Handbook.
