About the event

Built from the experiences of hundreds of college and high school students alike, this workshop is designed to help dual-enrolled college students better understand how to navigate higher expectations and stricter professors. This one hour introductory workshop covers universal problems like

  • college plagiarism policies are much stricter (and have bigger consequences!) than high school policies

  • professors utilize rubrics, and expect their students to understand them

  • juggling assignments that all seem to be due at the same time

  • different testing formats that require different study strategies

  • where to find help, both through your college and elsewhere

The session will also include a brief Q&A period, so bring your questions!

While the focus of this workshop is on students who are currently taking college courses, it is a great option for those who are considering taking classes next semester!

This workshop is designed as an informative, rather than an instructional, workshop: it is intended to give students and parents an overview of strategies and tools. If you would like support for a particular class or project, check out our drop-in writing support or contact us at info@1knacl.com.
