About the event
Built from the experiences of hundreds of college and high school students alike, this workshop is designed to help dual-enrolled college students better understand how to navigate higher expectations and stricter professors. This one hour introductory workshop covers universal problems like
college plagiarism policies are much stricter (and have bigger consequences!) than high school policies
professors utilize rubrics, and expect their students to understand them
juggling assignments that all seem to be due at the same time
different testing formats that require different study strategies
where to find help, both through your college and elsewhere
The session will also include a brief Q&A period, so bring your questions!
While the focus of this workshop is on students who are currently taking college courses, it is a great option for those who are considering taking classes next semester!
This workshop is designed as an informative, rather than an instructional, workshop: it is intended to give students and parents an overview of strategies and tools. If you would like support for a particular class or project, check out our drop-in writing support or contact us at info@1knacl.com.
