One-on-one tutoring is designed to help students who are struggling with a particular subject--or, in many cases, parents who just don't want to be in the position of teaching a particular subject! Tutoring can be for multiple subjects, a single subject, or used as a general assistance time.

Tutoring through our company is meant to be a regularly scheduled event. Students are matched with a tutor based on their age, needs, and availability, and then meet with the tutor at regularly scheduled intervals every week. Tutors review the student's progress, work with them on new concepts or tough spots, and help them set goals as to what they should accomplish by their next meeting.

Tutoring is billed on a per-hour rate: if you are working through a charter school your school may have a special rate agreement with us, so please contact us for further details.

Submitting this form holds a spot for your student, but does not automatically bill you.

Please note that this is an interest form ONLY! An interest form must be submitted for each student, and a staff member will follow up with you afterward. Students are not enrolled in a course until payment or a voucher/PO is recieved and a registration form has been completed. For more information, please refer to the funding section of the Student and Family Handbook.

Frequently Asked Questions:

How can I tell which tutor my child will get?

We match your student to a tutor who can best support them! We will let you know as soon as we've found a match. If you have a particular tutor you would like to work with, please let us know as soon as possible!

How does my student attend sessions?

Once your student is fully enrolled, you will recieve additional information about this, but we generally have two routes. If your student is enrolled in virtual tutoring, you will recieve a Zoom code and Seesaw login information. Students log into Zoom for their live sessions, and will do additional work asynchronously over Seesaw. If your student is enrolled in in-person tutoring, your tutor will reach out to you to confirm schedules and meeting locations.

Do you provide the books?

No, not for 1-on-1 tutoring! We can make recommendations, but encourage you to work with your school to select curricula.

The semester has already started. Can I add my student in?

Absolutely! Tutoring can be started at any time during the year.

Can we continue tutoring through break?

A number of our staff members work year-round, so most likely, yes! That said, if you are using school funding, you might want to check in with your school as wel, since they might have extra restrictions.

Are you a vendor for my charter school?

Probably! We have agreements with about a dozen schools, and, if your school is not on that list, we are willing to pursue vendorship with additional schools.
